The Story

Behind the Story

We are Beyond The Scenes, an Indonesian-based writers’ room born from the belief that what you see on screen is only the tip of the story.

Before the lights. Before the cameras. Way before action... there’s us.

We’re a team of writers and storytellers who build the emotional spine of every story before it’s ever filmed.

Founded by a scriptwriter who spent years working inside other creative rooms, Beyond The Scenes was born not just to write, but to create space for stories that move, shake, and matter. We know the magic doesn’t happen under the spotlight. It happens before it, in the mess, the silence, the scribbles only we ever see.

And now? We’re here to collaborate with visionaries who want to build something unforgettable from the inside out.

The screen is the ending.

We live in the beginning.

The Founders

  • Founder | Writer

There's always more to the story than you see on screen. So much more that "behind the scenes" isn't enough.

That's why we created Beyond The Scenes. Because storytelling always begins deeper, further, messier.

    Beyond what meets the eye.

A smiling woman with glasses on her head wearing a pink sweater and black pants, standing outdoors at night with city lights in the background, leaning on a concrete ledge with a lantern and a phone on top, surrounded by greenery and brick wall.
  • Founder | Writer

We’re the voices behind the voice. The chaos before the clarity.

We started this writers’ room with one belief: good stories don’t just appear. They’re built. Layered with intent, shaped by perspective, and sharpened through collaboration.

This is the space where ideas go beyond the scenes. We explore, refine, and create work that resonates.
